AI Control ("the App", "we", "us") is an application for Android and Windows built around an AI chat assistant, powered by Claude and other large language models, and a remote-desktop feature that lets you view and control one of your own devices from another of your own devices (or a helper you invite), the same way TeamViewer or AnyDesk works. This policy explains what data the App collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Android app and the Windows app, available at aicontrol.oonak.ai. In the Google Play version of the Android app (package ai.oonak.aicontrol), the AI assistant is conversation-only and is never given the ability to act on the device by itself — remote-desktop control is always driven by a person, from another device you own or a helper you invite. Our separately distributed managed-fleet builds (Windows and a non-Play Android build) additionally let the assistant carry out on-device actions you ask it to, as described in that build's own in-app permission explanations.
The Android app requests the following permissions. Each is used only for the stated purpose and never for advertising or undisclosed collection.
In the Google Play version of the App (package ai.oonak.aicontrol) this is used only for the remote-desktop feature you initiate: reading on-screen content and performing taps, swipes, and text entry so you (from another of your own devices) or a remote helper you connect can view and control this device while you watch, the same way a screen-sharing app like TeamViewer works. In that version it is not used to let the AI assistant read the screen or act on the device by itself — the assistant has no access to this service at all. The App does not use Accessibility to collect data in the background; it acts only while a remote session you started is open. In our separately distributed managed-fleet Android build, the assistant can additionally carry out on-device actions you ask it to.
Used for the remote-desktop feature, which streams your screen to another of your devices. Screen frames are captured through the Accessibility Service described above — the same service you enable yourself in Android Settings, which is therefore the only consent gate for both remote control and remote viewing. Capture happens only while you have a remote session open and stops when you end it. Frames are relayed to the receiving device over an encrypted tunnel; we do not store them on our servers beyond what is needed to deliver the live stream.
Used only for voice mode, when you turn it on, to capture your spoken requests. It is not accessed at any other time.
The optional mesh feature creates a private, encrypted connection between your own devices using Android's VpnService. When you enable it, network traffic is routed through that private tunnel between devices on your account. It is off unless you turn it on, and it is used only to connect your own devices — not to monitor or intercept unrelated traffic.
Standard permissions (internet, network state, wake lock, run at startup, vibrate) support connectivity and reliability.
Notification access is not available in the Google Play version of the App (package ai.oonak.aicontrol): it neither requests notification access nor offers any feature that reads notification content. In our separately distributed managed-fleet build, notification reading is available only if you grant Android's notification-access permission yourself and enable a feature that needs it (for example, letting the assistant use a one-time code you asked it to fetch); it is off until you do both.
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except the AI providers above (to fulfil your requests) or where required by law.
Account data and chat sessions are stored on our servers over HTTPS-encrypted connections. Authentication uses signed access keys that can be revoked. Traffic between your devices runs over TLS-encrypted tunnels.
Chat history is retained while your account is active. You can delete individual chats in the App, sign out to revoke a device, or request full account and data deletion by emailing hello@oonak.ai. We will delete your account data within 30 days of a verified request, except where retention is required by law.
AI Control is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, announced in the App.
